Paint various views and textures of snow


-- Take 10 photos of snow. The main focus is the texture and lighting of the snow-- there should be minimal other objects (if any) in the photos.
-- Print these photos and tape them into your sketchbook.
-- Present the photos in class. Get feedback from your peers and instructor.
-- Select your 2 favorite photos and recreate them as 2 full-page watercolor paintings in your sketchbook.
-- Carefully consider your color choice. Typically on a cold winter day, the snow has a cool-color temperature (blues).
-- Take note of your brightest highlighted areas-- use the white of the page for these spaces.
